'Keeping watch'

Inspired by the barn owl that used to live in our attached barn, beautiful to look at but not so beautiful to hear!

Scrap fabrics were carefully selected and hand sewn together to create her form. The backing fabric is on crushed velveteen in a gorgeous shade of midnight blue. She sits on her tiny perch keeping watch by the light of the full moon.
