Running Hare

Another of my favourite animals! This beautiful hare has been created using scraps of recycled fabric and paper, carefully handsewn together to from the initial image. Hand stitching was then used to add the finer details and to give it that all important, 3D effect.

The backing fabric is part of a French vintage napkin. I used a delicate palette of watercolours to add interest to this fabric and to blur the boundaries.

Unframed, this original piece of textile art is ready to be popped into a frame of your choice.

Like all my artwork, this is a unique creation. I may revisit the subject (especially as hares are my favourite animals! ) but I won't be able to replicate this piece, nor do I take copies to print and sell on.
